Nourishment

It's a really nice feeling when our objectives have implemented. So glad to see the psychology student volunteers as well as the teachers from our faculty, they seemed so very supportive.

The committees were so responsible they already knew what to do. So reactive in every situation whether good or unexpected . It is more than any experience. The bond, relationship have deepen and the spirit has been nourished. A job well done!  :-)

Budgetting

Everybody has a willing spirit to do the tasks. We already got number of Parents who can join the seminar and the teachers. The expected number wasn't met but we need to push through... The better because we could less the budget.

The objectives of the program is an arm length away.. keep moving!

Volunteers

Division of labor for community extension program. Some of us are so stiff and some are so flex. Intense feeling was arisen as the event is fast approaching. A little communication was there, but grateful because the endurance and bond still there.

I was able to go to UM and inform the Psychology students to volunteer about the said event .

One step at a time.

Assessment Tools

We are chirping in the morning doing things that needs to be done. We have a goal to make and collect assessment tools for their guidance as additional materials. Those materials could help discover their preferred learning styles.

By collecting baseline surveys and assessment tools (traits) for children as to find out what kind intervention to make.

Preparation

We seriously prepare the things for our community extension program . I was able to type the letter of information for our Dean, Letter of information for the Director of the Community Extension and the list of our program and budget . My co-practicumer prepares the letter of request for the DLP reservation.

In the afternoon, I went to school and sent the letters. Unfortunately our teachers and other officials was not there to sign.

COASTAL CLEAN UP

September 19, 2009 Saturday International Coastal Clean Up day.... It is one of the Community Extension of our school (University of Mindanao) at Punta Dumalag Davao City. And our school department College of Arts and Sciences were delight to be invited to this event (Community Service) together with our dean and heads of every discipline in every colleges..

Everyone loves spending time in the ocean and listening to the waves while observing a beautiful sunset closing a beautiful day, but it so distractive when you see there’s a lot of garbage near where you stand.

Every now and then the cause of water pollution has been tackled in school. Part of those lessons, it continues to be serious especially here. No wonder when the time comes that we’re picking up the fishes lying dead on the sand begins to think why we are contributing to trashing such beautiful water with incredibly living organisms in it.

We talk of how beautiful the corals are found in the ocean and many different colored fishes that are swimming , wandering but could just imagine all those things being talk about dying due to these trashes.

As an individual we all have the responsibility to take care of our resources. Because along with polluting the ocean it could not just kill the species and plant life and other living organisms but also harmful to human health , welfare, animal or property.

I’m so thankful being a part of this activity, because I really believe in every little thing we make a big difference.

Inspired from the text messages “when the last TREE is cut, the last FISH is caught and the last RIVER is polluted, only then will man realize that he cannot eat his money”
