Nourishment

It's a really nice feeling when our objectives have implemented. So glad to see the psychology student volunteers as well as the teachers from our faculty, they seemed so very supportive.

The committees were so responsible they already knew what to do. So reactive in every situation whether good or unexpected . It is more than any experience. The bond, relationship have deepen and the spirit has been nourished. A job well done!  :-)

Division of labor for community extension program. Some of us are so stiff and some are so flex. Intense feeling was arisen as the event is fast approaching. A little communication was there, but grateful because the endurance and bond still there.

I was able to go to UM and inform the Psychology students to volunteer about the said event .

One step at a time.

Assessment Tools

We are chirping in the morning doing things that needs to be done. We have a goal to make and collect assessment tools for their guidance as additional materials. Those materials could help discover their preferred learning styles.

By collecting baseline surveys and assessment tools (traits) for children as to find out what kind intervention to make.

I am so amazed when I observed the duties of our supervisor. At first  I was confuse of what job description she has. As I assisted her . I discovered that she has a lot of functions. I couldn't imagine that she could all do that.

She so very an outspoken person and we are so blessed to learn from her. Strategies , advises for her experiences and interpersonal relationship skills, we'll gonna use it from now and on to the next level.

Community extension is my passion

Today I am about to go to National Statistic Office, for my authenticated birth certificate as a requirement to our upcoming graduation. It was already 10:301m I entered the school in Matina Aplaya. I gave the address to our supervisor to whom she could send the request letter for the grade VI- NAT exam  and references for the subject of MSEP. It is  part of our community psychology to evaluate the needs and lacking of the school materials. It is privilegefor me to help and ask about it since community extension is my passion.

Overwhelming

I was so happy that the students passed or submitted their assignments. Their answers were so overwhelming. It shows  that they've  really enjoyed  the game last Friday.

I was about to give them a quiz  in subjects English and HEKASI. A bit bothered, their scored were so low.

I cannot force myself to do things that exceeding to my limit.

Playing in the rain

The rain was so heavy. I wasn't able to teach because my students were playing in the rain.It is said that it is normal for a child to play and roam in the rain.

It was so fun seeing them so happy but at the back of my mind is that "It is harmful to their health".

Protocol

We've got a protocol from our Practicum Coordinator that we have to focus on Makabayan Subjects. We followed the directions but we still accept atleast two academic subjects just to add into our time.

We are able to design the bulletin board but it is sad that we have to re-paste the devises because some of th students ruined it. A little bit annoying but we have to endure it.

Survey for Parents

There is an instances when I am about to teach and I don't know the topic. I feel so ashamed to teach, I feel so guilty to teach and I commit a mistake.

I really need to study the topics. I always remember the principles of teaching , that we teachers must teach the right and just.

I was able to give my students a baseline survey for Parents. And start assessing the traits of the students. It is a judgment base on their behavior.

Dissappointed

I am a bit disappointed of the class, because there are few who wasn't able to submit their assignments.
I was angry lose my temper . But I have to control myself. This won't help the children to behave.
I have to find lot of strategies so I can manage the situation. Patience is a virtue. I was able to sermon them and inject some values. They'd listen to me. I can see to their eyes that some of them understand what I said. I hope so...

Acceptance

So happy because in my first day of teaching I have received the warm acceptance of the class. Though some were so noisy and destructive.

By studying the topics I remembered my grade school days. This was the day that I re thanked and  recognized the value of the teachers.

I am still adjusting.

Science Subject

On my second day, I was asked to sub the adviser to her subject in Science. The class was grouped into four  and I asked them to put their answers on manila paper from their activity they've done yesterday. They seemed so attentive and cooperative.

In the afternoon on their subject MSEP. It's religion teacher took over the place. The class was so crowded and students were so hard-headed. I can say that I must prepare myself in the situation like this.

Internship (First Day!)

This is my first day of internship in Educational Setting. My what to do checklist are getting to know the Host  Training Establishment. Getting to know the Principal, Getting to know the Class Program and Class Observation.

It's like I am puzzled of what to do, being in this field is so challenging. As I observed, being a teacher is really not so easy. Especially if your pupils were so hard headed and noisy.
I have to find tips and strategies on how to get the attention of the lass. And so I may use those soon.
      I must be prepared!

Thanks for dropping by...
